Match Report

Bavaria 13-7 Britannia

The Pinks complete a hat trick of wins against Britannia.

In what was an unusual start to a game, Britannia kicked off with 4 men. The Pinks capitalized within the first 20 seconds with the ball falling to the feet of Dylan ‘Inzaghi’ Casciaro who once again tapped in another from close range. The Britannia number 6 eventually turned up 5 minutes into the game but didn’t have the impact his teammates would have hoped for.

Karl Parody was running the show in the early stages and his persistence was rewarded with a goal. Jaylan Desoiza was also showing glimpses of quality with a right-footed rifle from outside the box into the bottom corner. Kyle Moreno soon got in on the act bagging a couple of goals and being unfortunate on a number of occasions as Hermida in the Britannia goal was determined to prevent him scoring a first half hat trick. However, the Pinks were to get complacent but still went into the half time break 8-5 up and in control of the game.

The second half was a different story, the Pinks were to continue their goal scoring ways with Karl Parody getting 3 more to add to his first half effort. Roy Balestrino combined nicely with cousin Karl and Jamie Walker to tap in at the back post. Things started to get heated towards the latter stages. The Britannia number 6 was showing his dirty side, flying into tackles and miraculously avoiding the referees book.

All in all a good day at the office for the Pinks who capitalized on Laguna’s loss to South United earlier in the day to move back into 2nd place. The race for promotion is hotting up and the next set of games look likely to determine the outcome of the season.

Once again a big thank you to those that came down to support us on Mother’s Day 👏🏼

MOTM – this week the award has to go to Karl Parody who, apart from scoring 4 good goals, put in a shift in all areas of the pitch.
