Pitaluga Hat Trick Seals Points Against Maccabi Bet

Match Report

Bavaria thump Maccabi Bet to maintain promotion push.

With Humphries falling short against Blands International and Laguna and South United securing maximum points, the pressure was on the Pinks to keep up with the pack.

Kyle Moreno broke the deadlock after after 7 minutes where the Pinks dominated the majority of possession, also hitting the post on a number of occasions. However, Maccabi equalized from distance with a shot that caught Warwick unsighted and squirmed in via his right hand post.

Normality was resorted when Karl Balestrino surged forward from the back. His persistence paying off, bundling the ball over the line despite the best efforts of the Maccabi keeper. Substitutes, Roy Balestrino and Daniel Pitaluga came on and converted neatly from close range to make the half time score 4-1.

The domination continued in the second half but it was Maccabi who hit back to make it 4-2. Dylan Casciaro, poacher supreme also got in on the act, adding a couple of goals to his already impressive games to goals ratio. Daniel Pitaluga was neatly set up on two occasions by Iain Latin to secure his second Bavaria hat trick. Craig Gillingwater also bagged, slotting to the keepers right.

All in all an impressive and professional Bavaria performance. Maccabi will definitely be happy to see the back of the Pinks for this season after conceding 35 goals in 3 games in league and cup.

MOTM: this week the award goes to Karl Balestrino after another solid performance all over the pitch. Calmness personified.

Thank you to our Pink Ultras who came down for the late kick off sporting their new scarves. Great atmosphere 🎶
