The Pink Ultras

Yesterday we caught up with one of our loyal Pink Ultras, Nathan Barcio.

Q. How did you first start supporting Bavaria FCC? What do you like about the club?

A. I first started to support Bavaria when I got talking with one of my teachers (D. Casciaro). He told me about how he played for the top teams in Gibraltar as a child. We also spoke about the futsal club he was currently playing for and that is where my interest started.

Q. What was the first game you watched? Can you remember any details from the game?

A. The first match I went to watch was the ‘derby’ against Sporting Gibraltar which we won 7-3. I remember the team playing very well and Mr. Casciaro scoring a couple of good goals, and Mr. Warwick making some flying saves in goal.

Q. When did you come up with the idea to bring together the Pink Ultras?

A. The idea to form the Pink Ultras came when the club announced the plans to sell their scarves. We got together, made a group on Facebook and a bunch of us arranged to go to the games together, sing songs and support the team.

Q. Are you excited about the club’s future? Do the Pink Ultras have any plans for the future?

A. I am very excited to see what the future holds for Bavaria! There is lots of young talent in the side and we are currently sitting in a good position in the league. From the beginning I knew the future would be bright, the club makes a massive effort to run smoothly on and off he pitch. I will continue to support the Pinks!
